As a Landlord or Letting Agent of a privately rented property or someone with an interest in Housing issues Blaby District Council would like to invite you to their Landlords Forum being held on Tuesday 12^th September 2023 at the Blaby Westfield House Hotel, 15 Enderby Road, Blaby, Leicester, LE8 4GD.

The event will be from 1pm to 5pm 

The event offers invaluable advice and support to landlords and letting agents in offering safer housing and improving tenancy management standards.

The event is Free of Charge

The following seminars will be presented by housing professionals:

• Legal & Legislative Updates - Linda Cobb OBE (Decent and Safer Homes)  A DASH overview of legal updates & benefits of being a DASH member.   Giles Inman (East Midlands Property Owners (EMPO) & Leicester Landlords Association) - an overview regarding recent and upcoming legislation for landlords to be aware of to help manage your properties. Benefits of becoming a member of EMPO.

• Minimum Energy Efficiency rating in residential dwellings - Phil Fasham (Environmental Health Officer) – overview of the new policy being introduced by Blaby District Council.

• Housing Options / Homelessness overview - Janine Curtis (Homelessness Team Leader) - an overview of homelessness in the district, challenges we are facing and how landlords can help.

• Cost of living help – Arwen Woods (Welfare Support Co-ordinator) an overview on help and support for residents, food banks, financial support, mental health and wellbeing, support with energy and utility bills, cost of living help, government help for vulnerable residents.
