We have received quite a few emails and calls from landlords eager to know the outcome on the proposal for the new selective licensing scheme in the Nottingham City area which is due any day.

If the scheme gets approved by the Secretary of State it will see the majority of privately rented homes in the city boundary be subjected to licensing

Should the scheme become operational then landlords who carry the ‘Nottingham Standard’ quality mark for accreditation (via DASH Landlord Accreditation or Unipol Student Homes) will receive a significant discount on the licensing fees – more information can be found here https://www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/housing/private-sector-housing/selective-licensing/

Although we are told that a decision is imminent we are yet to hear the outcome but DASH Landlord Accreditation promises to keep our members updated as soon as we hear.
